Qigong film featured at Clinic this winter

Winter blues? Improve your health and well being while discovering your potential with Qigong.

Qigong is an ancient system of exercises using flowing, meditative movements to stretch, open and energize your body and mind. Qigong can also be adapted for use as a technique to heal others on multiple levels.

There will be three free opportunities this winter to view the documentary film Qigong – Ancient Chinese Healing for the 21st Century. The film will be shown in the lower level classroom of the Sawtooth Mountain Clinic on Tuesday, Jan. 20; Tuesday, Feb. 24; and Thursday, March 19. Showings begin at 6 p.m.

The documentary explores the history and evolution of Qigong, masters practicing and teaching this ancient technique today, and the uses of Qigong as a healing art.

After the documentary viewing, Mona Abdel- Rahman, licensed practitioner of acupuncture and Oriental medicine, will lead a half-hour Qigong class and field any questions participants might have. The exercises can be done standing or sitting, and are easily modified for those with limited mobility.

Questions may be directed to Mona at Crescent Moon Acupuncture by calling (218) 370-9283.
