This rather brilliantly cuts through all the political double talk we get. It puts it into a much better perspective.
Lesson No. 1:
• U.S. tax revenue:
$2,170,000,000,000
• Federal budget:
$3,820,000,000,000
• New debt:
$1,650,000,000,000
• National debt:
$14,271,000,000,000
• Recent budget cuts:
$38,500,000,000
Lesson No. 2:
Let’s now remove eight zeroes and pretend it’s a household budget: • Annual family income: $21,700
• Money the family spent: $38,200
• New debt on the credit card:
$16,500
• Outstanding balance on the
credit card: $142,710
• Total budget cuts so far: $38.50
Got it?
So what can we learn from Cook County, the state of Minnesota and the socialists running this great nation? Spend, spend and spend some more with no personal responsibility. If you can’t pay your bills, that’s OK, just blame someone else and go talk to Health and Human Services, they will take care of you and we dare to ask God for his blessings.
