Cook County Higher Education continues its The Academic Warrior: Becoming a Purposeful Learner series by Dr. Robert Pratt with a presentation on Critical Thinking. The next session is Thursday, Sept. 29 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. at the North Shore Campus in Grand Marais.
The program consists of different modules, and participants may choose to participate in any number of the sessions. Future sessions will be October 6 – Time Management Equals Self-Management and October 13 – Tests As Opportunities.
Dr. Robert Pratt is a retired education professor and college student counselor.
The cost per session is $15 each. Dr. Pratt’s book, The Academic Warrior, will be available for sale at a student rate of $15 per copy.

Higher Ed Executive Director Paula Sundet Wolf said the turnout at the first session was excellent and added, “Since each event can be stand-alone, we are hoping to engage more of our local residents who may be interested the topic for its own sake. Bob has such great information to share.”
