Sen. Tom Bakk and Rep. Rob Ecklund will meet with the public to discuss issues of common concern at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 23, at Wunderbar, 1615 West Highway 61, reports Jim Boyd, executive director of the Cook County Chamber.
“Bakk and Ecklund will be touring EDA housing projects, visiting with the county board and discussing the 2019 legislative agenda over lunch with an assortment of county leaders,” Boyd said. “Members of the public will have an opportunity to meet with them and exchange views following the lunch.”
“Teri Davis-Downing, owner of Wunderbar, has graciously made her dining room available for the public meeting, which we expect to run from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m.,” Boyd said. “In this year of political upheaval and tumult, we’re sure many Cook County residents have issues they wish to discuss with their elected state representatives. We encourage them to attend.”
