Friends of the Gunflint Trail Fire Department will host a Pre-Party and Dance at Poplar Haus on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, to generate even more excitement for the Gunflint Trail Canoe Races taking place the following Wednesday, July 19th.
The partying begins at 8:00 p.m., with the incomparable DJ Bryan Gerrard at the board to get everyone on their feet and dancing! Refreshments will be available for purchase from Poplar Haus. A $10 donation to the Gunflint Trail Fire Department is suggested. All are welcome. Carpooling is encouraged due to limited parking.
This year’s Gunflint Trail Canoe Races on July 19, 2023, will feature 18 Canoe Races for all ages and abilities, the celebrated 2nd Annual Trail Cup for resort and outfitter teams, raffles for a kayak and a hand-made “Northern Connections” quilt plus food and beverages by the Gunflint Lodge. The fun begins at 4:30 p.m. at Gunflint Lodge on the south shore of Gunflint Lake.
All funds raised for both events will support the Gunflint Trail Fire Department.
