The West End Garden Club of Cook County will hold its 76th annual flower show Saturday, July 16 at the Schroeder Town Hall, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

This year’s theme, Posies n’ Prose, will guide visitors through the “garden” where they may discover their favorite stories and poems in bloom.

The Garden Club members invite anyone, whether resident of the community or visitor, to participate in this event by bringing a display to the Schroeder Town Hall by 10 a.m. the day of the show. Children are encouraged to bring displays representing their favorite stories and books.

As in other years, there will be a tea table and perhaps a surprise or two. The Master Gardeners will be on hand with their informative display. Books on gardening will be available for browsing, as well as scrapbooks featuring flower shows in the past.

So come into the garden and meet your favorite storybook characters!
