Library Friends of Cook County is happy to announce a “Pop Up” Used Book Sale on Saturday, September 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All proceeds from the sale will go to benefit area libraries and reading programs. The sale will take place at the Hub / Senior Center at 10 Broadway in downtown Grand Marais. Featured items for sale are novels, non-fiction, nature and environmental titles, children’s books and local lore. There will also be handmade bookmarks and cards for sale, created by staff and volunteers at the Hub. The Library Friends Board is very excited to be able to offer a fall book sale and fundraiser to benefit local libraries and reading programs.
If you would like to donate items for the sale, there will be two collection dates next week, both held at the Hub/ Senior Center. The first collection date is Monday, September 20th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The second collection date will take place on Thursday, September 23rd, from 2 to 4 p.m. Hardcover and paperback books in good to excellent condition will be accepted in the following genres: novels, non-fiction, nature & environmental titles, children’s books and local lore. Each donation will be limited to ten items per person. Library Friends reserves the right to further limit the number of items per person, based on the overall number of donations received on collection days.
*Please don’t drop off donations for the sale outside of the set collection dates and times on September 20th and 23rd. Thank you!
