My husband and I were listening to a national talk show on the radio while driving last week, and the host was seeking insight from listeners on the Pokémon Go! craze that is taking the country by storm. We weren’t able to listen to it very long, but several men called in who were using the app, and one dad said he was using it so he could relate to his kids who thought it was great.
At noon this last Saturday, July 23, I was listening to a re-airing of a program aired earlier in the week on Cross Talk on 105.9, a Christian talk show that airs from 2 to 3 p.m. weekdays. They cover relevant topics with guests who are well educated in, or work or have worked in the field being covered. One program from the week is selected for airing on Saturday at noon when a wider audience can hear it.
Saturday’s topic was Pokémon Go! I urge you parents and grandparents to go to VCYAMERICA.org and select Cross Talk for July 23 for an eye-opening presentation on this very current subject by someone who cares about children.
