Players invited to tennis tournament

The Grand Marais Open Tennis Tournament will begin June 16 at the Cook County Public Tennis Courts in Grand Marais, and it’s not too late to sign up.

Junior events include (Level 6) for youth (girls and boys) 12, 14, and 16 singles and doubles. Adult events include men’s 50 singles and doubles, women’s 50 singles and doubles, and 50 mixed doubles; men’s 3.5 singles, women’s 3.5 singles, men’s 7.0 doubles, women’s 7.0 doubles; and men’s open singles, men’s open doubles, women’s open doubles, and mixed open doubles.

There are five courts, three with lights, available for play. Entry deadline for all events is June 10. For online registration, draw information and schedule go to the CCTA website: www.cookcountytennis. org Schedule will be posted at tennis courts and on the website the night before the event, or call 218-387-2198.
