With a deadline set of November 1, 2021, to end dogs use of the horse park in Grand Marais, members of Go Dog North Shore and residents of the community are raising funds for a new off-leash dog park.
Go Dog North Shore is actively working to create a wooded one-acre dog park in the city of Grand Marais. No public funding is being sought for this project, estimated to cost $65,000 to install a six-foot-high fence around the perimeter of the park and build a small parking lot.
That said, in little over one month Go Dog North Shore has raised nearly $20,000 towards the $65,000 goal.
If you would like to contribute to the Go Dog North Shore Build a Better Dog Park campaign, donations can be made through the Go Dog North Shore Facebook page. All donations are tax deductible.
Go Dog North Shore is a registered 501 (c)(3) nonprofit that relies on individual contributions.
