On March 27, the doors will open at 5 p.m. in the Cook County Commissioners’ Room at the courthouse to summarize what was heard during the first public meeting and share how feedback from the public was used through revised conceptual drawings.
After sharing the revised design objectives, the public will be asked for comment and feedback. The presentation will last from 5 p.m. until 5:45 p.m.
The project’s goals and objectives include improving safety, repair, and replacement of infrastructure to improve roadside drainage; enhance reliable access, improve serviceability and reduce maintenance and operation cost.
Project Overview
Comments heard during the first meeting include: Minimize grading and right of way impacts. Balance the cost and safety while maintaining existing roadway characteristics.
Keep the ability to pave in the future; conceptual roadway; design speed; right of way impacts; sight distance; roadway surfacing.
Key improvement study areas include the CR 44 / CR 45 intersection, and the Babineau Corner and County Road 7 intersection.
