Above: Steve DuChien received a warm send-off at a retirement party held at Grand Marais City Hall on March 7, 2012 in celebration of his 35 years in the city’s public utilities department. A lot of changes have taken place during DuChien’s tenure – the city now uses its own generator only for backup and residents are hooked up to city water and sewer instead of using their own wells and septics.
