Local Girl Scouts are working to raise money for a trip to Savannah, Georgia on March 12, 2012. They hosted a children’s carnival on Saturday, January 21. There was a cake walk, human tic-tac-toe, all sorts of carnival games and more. Proceeds will help the Girl Scouts celebrate the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouts with a trip to Savannah, Georgia, to visit the birthplace of Girl Scout founder Juliette Low. On hand for his last event was Duffer the Clown. Duffer said his clown shoes are wearing out and he doesn’t want to buy new ones, so he is hanging up the clown suit. There were fun games for all ages at the Girl Scout Carnival, including a duck pond. Little ones preferred splashing in the water over selecting a prize-winning duck.
