September 25 was a great day to be fishing on Lake Superior. Left: Lynn Hollenback, from Bloomington MN, caught this huge 23-pound, 40-inch lake trout. Below: Peggy Mullin, from Bloomington MN, caught this very nice 20-pound, 36-inch lake trout. Helping her hold the big fish is her daughter, Mia Hollenback. Both fish were released. The women were fishing with Captain Darren Peck of Tofte Charters.
How’s this for a big fish? That’s the question sent in along with this fish photo by Shirley Lindgren of Lutsen. Shirley (in back) and her friend Colleen Brennan, also of Lutsen, spent a fabulous day of fishing with Mike Berg of Seagull Creek Fishing Camp. Colleen shows off her “big” catch of the day. Not to worry, the women did get a few nice bass and walleyes as well.
