Above: Paul Linden, adjunct instructor at the University of Minnesota, created this sculpture titled Colony Collapse Disorder. The charred wood evokes the destructive potential of the unexplained worldwide phenomenon of honeybee colonies dying off. The bowls, representing the connection between bees pollinating plants and the food chain, each have a little bit of Minnesota-made honey in them.
