Photos courtesy of Cook County Law Enforcement Cook County Law Enforcement received three calls at 8:36 p.m. on Sunday, July 5 reporting a vehicle on fire at Paradise Beach in Colvill. The Colvill and Hovland Fire Department were on the scene within ten minutes to find the vehicle fully engulfed. The 2005 Dodge Ram pickup belonging to Donald William Larson, 72, Las Vegas, Nevada, was totally destroyed. Arrangements were made to tow the vehicle the next day after the Colvill Fire Department determined there were no hazardous materials leaking from the car. The suspected cause of the fire is from a mouse nest on the exhaust, however the vehicle was so damaged, it is hard to determine.
