The Cook County Ridge Riders Snowmobile Club held its second Fun Run on Saturday, February 5, with 100 riders coming out to enjoy winter. Riders traveled the trails between Devil Track Landing, Hungry Jack Lodge, Trail Center, Windigo Lodge, Gunflint Lodge, and Gunflint Pines. In addition to being a lot of fun, the Fun Run was a great fundraiser. Proceeds will be donated to Cook County Community Education for snowmobile safety classes, to a scholarship for a graduating Cook County student, and trail maintenance.
Pat Terry was the lucky raffle winner. He had his choice of a trip to Las Vegas or Florida or $1,000 cash. He happily took the cash.
Along the way riders collected playing cards. The winning hands went to Butch Schulte (left) who won $100 with his low hand and Butchie Smith who received $400 for his high hand.
