Gary and Kathy Siesennop had a very large, hungry, furry visitor about 8 p.m. on May 22. The bear didn’t cause any damage, said Gary.
“This time it had to settle for eating new grass and dandelion plants,” Gary said. “Woodpeckers once again cleaned out the suet feeders, so they are not a bear attractant. We remove the black-sunflower feeders overnight and when we are not guarding or close at hand. We probably should bring in the kernel corn feeder, too. The squirrels and blue jays can dine elsewhere.”
