As part of Fire Prevention Week, the Birch Grove Community school got a visit from the Tofte fire fighters and EMS on October 7. During the day, kids got to spray water with the help of a firefighter, inspect the fire truck and learn about the gear on the truck. They also received a lesson on first responders’ duties and then, to cap it all off, each received a new hat like the firefighters wear!
