Local commercial fisherman Eric Brisson displays a box of herring. Eric and Zac and Tyler Smith (pictured below) have been netting herring on Lake Superior and their nets have yielded nice catches. If all goes well, the three will be licensed and able to smoke fish next summer; smoked fish will be added to their product list. So far, said Eric, fishing has been good and sales of their catches have been steady.
