With the generous help of Arrowhead Electric, the folks on Birch Lake will be lighting up their “1000 points of Light” Christmas Tree on the Gunflint Trail once again this year. It will be lit from Thanksgiving Day throughout the season and into the New Year. They hope many people will take the opportunity to enjoy this magical wilderness Christmas tree.

The second Hamilton Habitat house was put in place on November 20, just off of County Road 7, across the Gunflint Trail from the Cook County Law Enforcement Center. Classified as a “Tiny” home, the new house was purchased by a local restaurant cook who couldn’t afford to buy a home on the open market.
