As part of Operation Resolve, a salute to area hospitals and their staff who have been battling the COVID-19 pandemic, two F16s from the 148th Fighter Wing of the Air National Guard fighter unit in Duluth flew over the North Shore Health hospital/care center and Sawtooth Mountain Clinic at approximately 11:08 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13. Flying low, the precision flown jets approached the medical center grounds from the east, made a circle and did a second fly over as a sizeable crowd watched from the hospital parking lot. Once done, the jets headed for Ely to fly over their medical facilities.
