The Cook County Ridge Riders held their annual drag races at Skyport Lodge on Devil’s Track Lake on Saturday, January 27 with a nice turnout of racers who came from near and far and a great crowd was on hand to cheer them on. Right: As the snowmobile powers away from the start Jack Radloff’s expression is priceless. Jack was with his mom, Stephanie Radloff, watching the snowmobiles blaze across Devil’s Track Lake.
Left: Reminiscent of a motorcycle racer doing a wheelie at the start of a race, this high-powered snowmobile picks up some air and jettisons a rooster tail of snow behind it as the racer powers his machine down the race course.
Below left: Placing first and second in the 700 class at the snowmobile drag races were Anders Zimmer (2nd) and Blake Lambert.
