The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) conducted Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) volunteer training last Friday, July 21, at the Lutsen Town Hall. The half-day training was organized by Cook County AIS coordinator Amanda Weberg, sponsored by the Caribou Lake Property Owners’ Association and taught by Northeast Region DNR instructor Carrie Mauer-Ackerman. The Caribou Lake AIS volunteers will be aiding with boat inspections and educating boaters on AIS and self-inspections.
