The U.S. Forest Service and the Nordic Nature Group got together on Monday, May 15 to plant some trees in the Grand Marais harbor on Artist Point. “The Nordic Nature Group teamed up with the Forest Service to help reforest Artist Point. Planting trees also helps sequester carbon and this will help with Grand Marais’ efforts to address climate change,” said Olya Wright, age 10, who helped lead the effort.
