Wide-eyed, excited Isla Arhelger, age 3, traveled a long way to meet Santa Claus. Isla, seen here waving at the world, and her parents came from Minneapolis to greet the friendly, bubbly white-bearded bequeather of Christmas presents. Santa and his two snow dog helpers were very busy meeting children at Stone Harbor last Friday night right before the annual Christmas Parade. Rudolph, Dancer, Prancer and the rest of the reindeer couldn’t fit inside the store. They were outside in the back taking a much-deserved nap.

Laurie Bradley found this ornament for her tree at the Hovland Arts Festival Christmas sale held on Saturday, November 26. More than 100 people attended the event. Tables (and walls) were filled with handmade pottery, jewelry, pictures, birch bark bowls, wreaths and garlands and many other interesting items.
