The Community Easter Egg Hunt at the Cook County Community Center on Saturday, March 26 was an active affair, with skating on the ice left behind by the Cook County Curling Club, an outdoor egg hunt and lots of fun games and crafts. The Easter Bunny was the star of the day, racing kids around the arena.
There was a special area for toddlers who quickly caught on to the fun of finding brightly-colored eggs. There were enough eggs for everyone.
There were more than a dozen delightful cakes in the Easter cake contest, earning prizes for being the Most Easter-ish, Most Colorful, Most Creative, Most Carrot-y and more. There was lots of competition in the Silent Auction action to take home a special cake.
