Slow motion snowmobile fun! The Lutsen Trailbreakers Snowmobile Club hosted an inaugural Vintage Snowmobile Ride on Saturday, March 5. Eighteen sleds were registered in the vintage and antique classes. Some riders on newer machines joined the fun on a ride of about 20 miles.
Riders all enjoyed visiting at Cascade Lodge after the ride. First place winner of the vintage class was Michael Floen. Brock LaBlanc was the winner of the antique class and also won the prize drawing for a snowmobile jacket from RJ Sports. Don Floen won a day of fishing with Upper Red Lake Ice Fishing. The “Thor’s Hammer,”a traveling trophy, was presented to a machine that apparently “runs better downhill, being towed” owned by Steve Hahn.
