Cook County Hockey’s youngest and finest showed their stuff at the Silver Bay Mite 1 Jamboree last weekend. Many of the Cook County Hockey Mite 1 players are first-year skaters, but they came ready to play. In three games against opponents such as two tough Hermantown teams and an Esko team, these skaters played their hearts out. These half-ice games are all about fun—lots of skating, passing and scoring for Cook County’s youngest players. The 11 Mite 1 players are coached by Nate Sheils and Brian Cooley. The players, coaches and parents of Cook County Hockey would like to thank Arrowhead Electric Cooperative in Lutsen for generously sponsoring the Mite 1 team at this event.
