The Grand Marais Arts Festival brought throngs of people to Wisconsin Street and Harbor Park in downtown Grand Marais. A few sprinkles now and then didn’t deter visitors. Top: Part of the attraction is the talented musicians who perform during the festival, like Bump Blomberg pictured above.
Above: Visitors were able to screen-print their own T-shirts at the Grand Marais Art Colony booth. Little Esme was delighted with her creation.
Above left: David Steckelberg of Grand Marais created book markers while visiting with the crowds. He sketched exquisite renderings of birch trees with India ink on slips of birch bark. Left: There was the smell of freshly-turned wood at the booth of Cooper Ternes of Northern Wooden Wares.
