The new entrance to the Lutsen Town Hall looks welcoming—and it welcomed about 100 community members during an open house on Monday, June 24. Community members had the chance to tour the newly expanded fire hall and town hall and to visit with the men and women of the Lutsen Volunteer Fire Department.
Firefighter James Coleman, Lutsen Fire Chief Paul Goettl, and Firefighter Steve Duclos stirred the giant pot of chili served to visitors. The spicy fire hall chili turned out quite hot and liberal amounts of sour cream and crackers were consumed.
Lutsen Supervisor Ginny Storlie helped serve the savory chili. Tom and Ann Rider enjoyed dinner with other Lutsen residents and Lutsen’s emergency personnel.
