Four Cook County Viking basketball players were selected to play in the Polar League All-Star game. Pictured here in their All Star jerseys are (L-R) David Bergstrom, Kale Boomer, CCHS Head Coach Mitch Dorr, Dylan Quaife and Colin Everson. The boys only lost two games this season to post the second best regular season record ever for a Viking boys’ team. In addition to their fine play on the court, the Vikings were also crowned Academic Section Champions. Overall the team had a 3.51 grade point average.

Deschampe was named Polar League Player of the Year and Laky was named honorable mention all-conference. Both graduate this spring and will be sorely missed by their teammates, coaches and fans.

To celebrate the end of a successful hockey season, the Cook County M1 and M2 teams and families got together on March 17 for a wrap-up party. The Cook County hockey group said thanks for the cool hockey stick cake donated by Gene’s Foods. Pictured (not in order) Elijah Swanson, Andrew Hallberg, Jacob Carpenter, CJ Luehring, Katie Carpenter, Bridget Cooley, John VanderHeiden, Danny Deschampe Jr., Ryan Bilben, Nate Bilben, Patrick Pierre Jr., Kole Anderson, Kevin Viren and John Pierre. (Not pictured: Cy Oberholtzer and Ryan Christiansen).
