It’s not often you see an Evening Grosbeak in Cook County. Jean Brislance said, following big northwest winds, “we had a flock of Evening Grosbeaks show up at our place in Lutsen. They briefly raided the sunflower seeds at the feeder and then took off. They are so beautiful, and we see them so seldom at our place, so that was really a treat.”
