Recently a Northwestern college crew from Iowa visiting the Coldwater Foundation Camp on Mink Lake, came and donated their time and talents to help with the remodel of the former Grandma Ray’s restaurant that is being converted into a teen center for kids grades 6 through 12. The goal is to be open by summer, said Brad Shannon, who will run the operation. Besides pool and foosball tables, the center will offer outdoor activities and support groups for teens who are struggling. “We want to end hopelessness in teens, and hopefully, kids will learn to support each other,” Shannon said. The teen center will be free of charge.
