Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the class of 1960 could not have a 60th class reunion this past summer, said Butch Schulte, noting, “And there seems to be less and less of us around each year.” Taking out his high school annual (The Voyageur), Butch counted 53 pictures of his class graduates. He sent out 24 Zoom invitations for a meeting on Saturday, January 23, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., and ten people responded. “We had a great time,” Schulte said. Butch took a picture of his computer screen after one person had signed off. The people in the picture are from left to right, starting at the top, Donny Schliep, Butch Schulte, Larry Thompson, Skippy Joynes, Janice Toftey, Jerry Linnell, Susan Hilderbrand (Toftey ), Rich MacKenzie, Leland Rasmussen and Stan Ose. As for the reunion, Butch said, “It wasn’t as good as an in-person class (party), but it was better than nothing!”
