Kids involved with Minnesota Children’s Press have worked hard to create displays celebrating Minnesota Women’s Vote Week. To further the practice of inclusive civic engagement and city participation in the American vote, irrespective of party or write-in candidate, Minnesota Children’s Press has teamed up with Joan Drury and the Grand Marais Public Library over the last year to celebrate the history of women’s right to vote. Exhibits made by the children have been displayed on the library lawn for two hours each day honoring the historic actions of the Minnesota Legislature on September 8, 1919, that ratified the 19th amendment.
