Kelly Schmidt, a Hovland cabin owner, sent some awesome cloud pictures to the newspaper to share with our readers. On the evening of Wednesday, July 15, Kelly said, “We were fortunate enough to catch the amazing northern Minnesota sky. My daughter caught a glimpse of color out the window when she turned her head and for the next hour, we marveled at the bright and beautiful display. The rain was much appreciated and the storm was peaceful and enjoyable, but that sky was unexpected and breathtaking.”
