The Grand Opening for the warming house at the Cook County Community Center will be from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 5. Come see what 20 years of hard work, dedication and community determination has produced! The project includes a garage for the Zamboni, heated vault toilets, concession area, skate sharpener and rentals, lots of room to sit and warm up as well as storage for hockey gear and windows to watch the action outside.
The building will also be used for activities in other seasons, including kids summer camp and other community events and meetings.
At the Grand Opening, refreshments, including cookies and soups, will be served. Free skating. All invited.
