Quilts for Haiti. The Bethlehem Lutheran Church Women (BLCW) have been busy collecting supplies for health kits and school kits for the Lutheran World Relief Organization to send to Haiti. They collected enough to send 48 health kits and 52 school kits. The quilters of the church also made 239 quilts this past year. These go to the Red Cross, Damiano Center, Salvation Army, a complex for the homeless in Minneapolis called “The Center for Changing Lives” and others in need. Pictured assembling the school kits for Haiti at Bethlehem Lutheran Church are, from left, Eleanor Waha, Jody Daugherty, Joan Bieber, Mary McElevey, Ethel Johnson, Milly Gestel, Gwen Lenz and Crystal Nelson.
