The Cook County girls’ middle school 7th- and 8th-grade basketball team recorded their best place ever when they finished runner-up in the Polar League basketball tournament. The girls defeated the Esko Gold team, Cromwell Cardinals, Two Harbors Agates 40-17, South Ridge Panthers 20-12, before falling to the Esko Blue team 37- 27 in the championship match.
