Seventh- and eighth-grade girls win Polar League volleyball crown—On October 13 the seventh- and eighth-grade Viking girls’ volleyball team traveled to Moose Lake for the 8th-Grade Polar League Tournament. Twelve teams were divided into four pools to play for position in the tournament bracket. The Vikings won both pool-play games, placing them in the Gold Champions bracket. In the Gold bracket, playing stellar volleyball, the Vikings defeated Carlton, McGregor, Wrenshall and Moose Lake-Willow River (MLWR) to become Gold Champions of the tournament.
