“Road Trip to the Stars”—After checking out the Dark Sky Caravan that came up the North Shore and stopped at several locations, Travis Novitsky went to a favorite spot on the Lake Superior shoreline to take in the view of the Milky Way and take this picture. The University of Minnesota Duluth, who brought their GeoDome Mobile Planetarium to the Grand Portage Community Center, hosted the Dark Sky Caravan session Novitsky attended. The presentation was followed by some time gazing at the stars, moon and planets through telescopes. “It was a super fun evening,” wrote Novitsky.
