Charlie Miller, a 7-year-old from Orono, Minn., caught this crayfish off the dock of his cabin on Pike Lake on May 27. He has been an avid crayfisherman for over a year now and this was by far the largest he has caught. He used a light bulb changer to catch what he eventually named Big Bob. Charlie set up a bucket habitat for Big Bob and was preparing to make a home for him in Orono, but he unfortunately didn’t survive the trip. Charlie plans to practice catch and release going forward.
