Fishing in front of the mouth of the Cascade River recently, this local fisherman caught this beautiful lake trout. Twenty years ago there might be 20 to 30 fishermen prowling the banks of Lake Superior next to Cascade River or one of the other tributaries pouring into the lake on a nice summer day. Today, that’s rare. But the fish are still there, just waiting to chase a well cast lure.
