With all of the spring melt from snow and recent rainfall the torrent of water crashing over High Falls in Grand Portage State Park on the Pigeon River is spectacular right now. On a sunny day the rainbow across the falls is something to behold. It’s only a short walk in to the falls, with stops along the way if you need them. The path is paved for the most part and signs guide you to the middle falls or to the high falls, which at 120 feet is the highest waterfall in Minnesota.
