It is estimated that about 10 percent of Minnesota’s licensed fishermen take part in ice fishing. Those patient few that do get out, however, tend to do well. This nice mess of brook trout took all day to catch, but the folks who reeled in these beauties had a great time. All that can be said about the location of the lake is that it is surrounded by trees and brush, a mile-high sky, and the water runs clear up to the lake’s edges.
