Grand Marais harbor, especially by the Coast Guard station near the break wall, is a great place for ducks to congregate. Although only four can be seen in this picture, there were eight to nine ducks within twenty feet of each other paddling around or sunning themselves on the rocks. A beaver lodge sits close to where these ducks are pictured and otter can often be seen swimming in the harbor. Nature in its entire splendor is truly just outside our door.
