Downtown Grand Marais was a very busy place last week during the two-day Grand Marais Arts Festival. People from near and far flocked to the closed streets to peruse the paintings, pottery, photographs, jewelry, glassware, etc., or to participate in making their own T-shirts, paper lanterns, clay sculpture, or to pick up a paint brush and help with the “Imagine the Northoods: A community paint-by-number mural project,” all the while listening to musicians playing in Harbor Park.
