The Substance Abuse Recovery Program in Cook County has been operating since last August with great results. Instead of going to jail, offenders get treatment and go through the Substance Abuse Recovery Program run by the following people (from left): Annalisa Peck, Cook County Court Administration; Greg Barnier, Wilderness Outpatient Services; Will Sandstrom, Cook County Sheriff’s Department; Elizabeth Polling, Sixth District Public Defender’s Office; Judge Michael J. Cuzzo; Molly Hicken, Cook County Attorney’s Office; Steve Borud, Arrowhead Regional Corrections; Aleesha Ward, Sixth District Treatment Court coordinator; and Chris Hanson, Arrowhead Regional Corrections.
