It was Rendezvous Days in Grand Portage on Friday, August 12-14 with meaningful and adventurous events for all ages. The Grand Portage Powwow grounds saw 21 drum groups offering songs for dancers throughout the weekend. The Grand Portage National Monument had 152 camps and about 300 volunteer re-enactors, including Asher, from Cloquet, who joined his siblings at the playground.
